MONOKROMANTIC'S ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM SE ULTIMATE LOAD ORDER (PC) 2019 Modlist and installation guide for Skyrim Special Edition on PC
Direct Install Files: All of these files should be downloaded manually, (Do NOT use a mod manager such as MO, NMM, or Vortex,) extracted using 7-Zip (https://www.7-zip.org/) and copied DIRECTLY into your Steam>SteamApps>Common>Skyrim root directory.
SKSE Skyrim Script Extender - https://skse.silverlock.org/ SKSE Is almost certainly essential to modding your game in ANY way. Very few mods will work WITHOUT SKSE. It can be a bit daunting to beginners. Check out my comprehensive SKSE Installation video guide! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdtf0LwWHvk&t=466s
ENBSERIES - http://enbdev.com/ This is required to install any ENB. ENBs are performance-heavy, but drastically enhance lighting and graphics output of your game. Be sure to check recommended specs for any ENB before installing.
PRISMATIC ENB - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26076
My favorite ENB. Beautiful lighting and shadows, the colors are enhanced, but natural looking. Works great with NAT (Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel, my favorite weather mod, see below) Some weather mods won't be 100% compatible with Prismatic ENB. One issue I've run into is that PENB sometimes renders rain textures invisible, specifically, it does this with NAT. To fix this, go into your Prismatic ENB folder and select the FILE "enbseries (configuration file)", opening it in your text editor of choice.
Scroll down to [RAIN] and make sure it reads as follows; edit if need be: [RAIN]
IgnoreWeatherSystem=true
Enable=false
EnableSupersampling=false
UseOriginalTexture=false
MotionStretch=0.52
MotionTransparency=1.0
RefractionFactor=0.69
Additionally, Prismatic ENB includes a mod-author logo "sunsprite", where you will look into the sunlight in game and see the mod author's "artist tag". This is common in ENBs. To rid your game of this, open the Prismatic ENB folder> ENBSeries> and scroll down the list to find "enbsunsprite.fx (FX File)" "enbsunsprite.fx (config file)" and "enbsunsprite (PNG File)" and DELETE THESE. Don't worry, all it does is delete the graphic.
I recommend BACKING UP your ENB Folder on your computer or a hard drive with your configuration settings, just in case you ever need to delete enb files from your Skyrim root directory, such as on re-installation.
Okay, now we're getting to the actual LOAD ORDER. The following mods should be managed with a Mod Manager. Mod managers are a safer and simplified way to install your mods, set up profiles or load orders to switch between, and keep your root directory CLEAN so that you can safely uninstall mods if the need arises.
Here are some links to some Mod management community favorites:
My MM of choice: VORTEX: https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/

LOAD ORDER
Now, we're going to list these mods by CATEGORY. I'm listing these categories in the GENERAL ORDER that the mods should be installed, so if you have 2 mods that conflict, (and you will have PLENTY of conflicts within this load order,) you can refer to the CATEGORY ORDER in this guide, to choose which to load first and last.
For instance, if a mod from Category 1 conflicts with a mod from category 3, load Category 3 AFTER category 1, using the files from category 3 to OVERWRITE the files from category 1.
There are *some* exceptions to these rules, but generally this should clear up any particularly problematic conflicts, and the remainders should just take some playing with. The Texture mods are going to take the most playing with to achieve your desired outcome, so I've split Textures into several categories to help you to break it down.
1. MASTER FILES These mods are *ESSENTIAL* to running this load order, and should be loaded first

By far the most complicated portion of this load order, this category contains mods that add additional functions, systems, and interactive features via custom scripts or manipulation of existing ones. *This mod will not function without some additional effort. Go to this page on Github to download a fix provided by the community. The file was safe when I downloaded it, but make sure you have an antivirus just in case. https://github.com/NasiRawon/SimpleLockOn/issues/1 Unzip the file with 7-zip and copy the contents. Both the .dll and the config file. Then, go to your LockOn directory > SKSE > Plugins > and paste the content, this will likely replace the existing files of the same name. Deploy. Should be all set, test on a hostile target in game with the SHIFT key.

Alternate Start - Live Another Life https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/272

This many mods takes a great deal of time to install and set up in-game. I recommend using Alternate Start, and using the Character Creation Dungeon to configure all of your mods to your liking.
The best way I've found to do this is, to open my inventory and use all mod-added items (many of them include config menus or spellbooks for config, or even installation guides,) then going into my magic menus and using all of my mod-added powers (again, many of the powers add in configuration menus,) and lastly, going to the Mod Config Menu to configure all mods that add a menu through that.
Now, you may be asking, "Mono...what if I want multiple characters? Do I have to do this EVERY time I set up a new game????" Well, when you start your new game, I recommend naming your character "START" or "NEW" or something of the like, and then once you have all of your mod settings to your exact liking, do a HARD SAVE, and then use the ` key to open the console. Type "showracemenu" to edit your character.Note you can even change gender and race. Then when you finish your new character, name it something new and do another HARD SAVE. Those saves will be seperated out! BOOM! A quick, easy way to start a new character.
When creating additional characters, just load from the character named "START" or "NEW" and repeat the showracemenu. If you're using Player Voicetype, be sure to change the settings in the MCM if you change gender or race....or dont ;)
